Background story of the Thunderspring Squad.

Seeing that a few of my viewers said that I need to have a background story of the main characters in my fanfic, Granado Espada: Shunraiki Kuronikuru, I finally decided to post the history of the five main characters of the story. Adding too much would be a spoiler so I only wrote a little of it. Any new info will be added later. Do note that the events in the fanfic occurred in 1555, exactly 11 years after the Reconquista Policy was announced by Vespanola.

Rezxy Lycis, 'Eins' of the Thunderspring Squad (Squad Captain)
Info: A Pioneer from Oporuto, the homeland of Granado Espada's discoverer, Feruccio Espada. A naturally skillful swordsman, he was among the first generation of Pioneers who had answered to Queen Esperanza's Reconquista, and the strongest Pioneer of his generation. He became a Pioneer at the age of 18, during the year 1547, and gained the title The King of Predators at the age of 20 because of his reputation. After the death of his lover at the age of 22, Rezxy retired from his duties as a Pioneer after realizing the flaws in the Vespanola's doctrine and principles. A year later, he went to Ustiur to seek apprenticeship of the Queen of Pioneers, Grandice.  In just a year, he was able to master the Soul Guard and Soul Bringer fighting style from Grandice herself. After completing his training, Rezxy left Ustiur in an attempt to start a new life as a mercenary. He is very protective of his fellow comrades as he wouldn't want to lose them just the way he had lost his lover.

Vexen Dmitri, 'Zwei' of the Thunderspring Squad
Info: Born from Vespanola's military family. A former Navy officer of the Vespanola's 1st Fleet, Vexen began his career as a soldier at the age of 17, and was promoted to the rank of Major, and was later assigned as the commander of the escort fleet of the Nikolaiv Trading Company. Following a tragic incident in 1551 which had led to the death of the heir of the Nikolaiv family, Vexen was dismissed from his duties as a soldier, the nobility entitled to his family were stripped off completely and he was then forced to exile by the Vespanola Government. Ever since the incident he went into a state of heavy alcoholism in an attempt to 'drown' his own past. Rezxy met him and Athena at a bar in Coimbra when Vexen was quarrelling with a group of thugs for disturbing him drinking. After helping the two defeat the thugs, Rezxy recruited both Vexen and Athena as his comrades and formed the Thunderspring Squad. Vexen despised everyone who were related to the Vespanolan government, and wouldn't hesitate to kill them even if it meant being the enemy of the kingdom.

Athena Clecxra,  'Drei' of the Thunderspring Squad
Info: A former tactician and fellow officer of Vexen in the Vespanola 1st Fleet. Athena was considered as the youngest graduate in the military academy, and became a master tactician at the age of 17, granting her the rank of Sergeant Major and the title 'Tactician Goddess' in the Vespanola Navy. She was also an unmatched sharpshooter, being able to fire a rifle at the maximum range of 500 metres with uncanny accuracy. Both she and Vexen were close friends since both of them graduated from the academy at the same year. Athena was also involved in the incident regarding the death of the Nikolaiv's family heir. Prior to Vexen's dismissal from the Vespanola Navy, Athena voluntarily resign from her duties and followed Vexen in his exile to Granado Espada. Later, the two of them met Rezxy when he had helped her and Vexen fought off a group of thugs in a bar. She then formed the Thunderspring Squad together with Rezxy and Vexen, and had became the team's tactician. Despite being talented in marksmanship and tactics, her culinary skills are very poor, which sometimes caused her to become hysterical when her team-mates refused to finish the meals that she cooked.

Celeste Midnightmoon, 'Vier' of the Thunderspring Squad.
Info: The 'all-rounder' of the team, Celeste acted as a sister figure for her fellow comrades, since she was the oldest member of the Thunderspring Squad. Her family background and history are unknown. What's known was that she was a Pioneer from Illier who came to Granado Espada a few years after Rezxy's retirement from his Pioneering duties. She encountered Rezxy, Vexen, and Athena when she was on a mission for the Royalist in Porto Bello. After the three mercenaries had helped her defeat the Loby Dick, Celeste had decided to join the Thunderspring Squad, simply by the fact that the Royalist didn't pay her enough for all the jobs she had completed. She has an obsession with money and other various expensive things, an example is her Revolver of Justice which she had bought in an auction for 800,000,000 Vis. Even so, Celeste was very light-hearted and cheerful comparing to her other team-mates. She's a skilful fighter , and a great cook. She was also shown to have skills in engineering and construction.

Fye Vynette, 'Funf' of the Thunderspring Squad
Info: The fifth person to join the Thunderpring Squad, and the youngest member of the team. He suffered from serious amnesia, and has no recollection of his past. The only thing he remembered was his name and a few magical spells. Fye was found unconscious by the Thunderspring Squad near the Bonavista River, where the mercenary team had rescued him from a flock of Cockatrices. When brought to their home, Fye had explained to them about his condition, which put them in disbelief. Rezxy then offered Fye a place in the Thunderspring Squad after realizing that he had no where to go. Many attempts had been done to recover Fye's lost memories, including the help from the genius Dr. Torsche, but none was proven successful. Fye was light-hearted, yet boastful kind of character. He loved to prove to his team-mates of his mastery in magic, even at a stage where he would put his own life at stake to do so. For some reason, Fye seemed to show a disliking for Elementalists, as he saw their magic as destructive in all aspects.
